WOMAN IN HIDING is a book of secrets.  Secrets of such powerful shame they lived with me not as memories, but as dark, lurking shadows.  I come from a long line of secret keepers who bury their secrets as they do their dead.  Gone, then forgotten.  Generations of my family have lived trapped by monsters roaming their past.  But secrets are like severed body parts, they surface without warning, anytime, anywhere.  That is what happened to me.  The secrets of my past exploded into my present leaving me with no place to hide.  WOMAN IN HIDING is a story I could not bear to tell.  But it is a book I had to write.  I had to.
